Cantacuzino Castle

Cantacuzino Castle is situated in Busteni resort, in Prahova valley. The construction of the castle was completed in 1911 at the request of Prince Gheorghe Grigore Cantacuzino, also known under the name of "The Nabob” due to his very large fortune. He was Minister of Romania during the period 1899-1900 and 1904-1907. The castle was built in the Neo-Romanian architectural style based on the plans of the architect Grigore Cerchez. The character of this building sends out a romantic pattern: the stained-glass windows, the ceilings, the decorations - all showing us the craftsmanship of the masters who have contributed to it. We invite you to discover this architectural jewellery during our trip.
