Sighisoara Fortress

Sighisoara Fortress is the historical centre of Sighisoara and since 1999 it is included in UNESCO World Cultural Heritage list. The Fortress is located on the south bank of the Tarnava Mare River, being surrounded by a 930 m length wall whose initial height was of about 4 m. The Clock Tower, the Church on the Hill, the Monastery Church, or the Venetian House are just a few very interesting sights that you can visit inside the fortress. Moreover, in case you did not know, Vlad Tepes was born and lived his first 4 years of life in Sighisoara. The house where he was born is near the Clock Tower.
