Transfagarasan

Transfagarasan is the road waving through the Fagaras Mountains, connecting Walachia with Transylvania. It is the second highest road in Romania, having 2042 m. The road has a length of 152 km, begins after Pitesti city (Arges County) and ends near the Cartisoara village (Sibiu County). Besides the breathtaking landscapes, especially in its highest parts, the Transfagarasan allows you to see the Vidraru dam, the Capra Chalet and the Balea Lake.
