Malancrav Fortified Church

The Church with three naves and a bell tower was built in the early 14th century by Gregor, the son of Nikolaus. The real treasure of the church in Malancrav is its mural painting, being the best-preserved ensemble of linear-narrative Gothic painting of the 14th century. Its iconography is focused mainly on the life of Jesus, but, at the same time, it glorifies the Virgin Mary, to whom the church was dedicated.
