Rasnov Fortress

Rasnov Fortress is one of the best-preserved fortified ensembles in Transylvania and it is located in Rasnov, near Brasov. The first mention of it dates back in 1335 and its oldest structures still kept nowadays date from the 14^th century. Through its strategic position, Rasnov fortress controls the access in Transylvania from Rasnoavei Valley. The sight over the area, seen from the fortress, is really gorgeous and reveals a wonderful landscape. Inside the fortress, there can be visited the feudal art museum exposing weapons, tools, and torture instruments used at the time.
