Avram Iancu Museum

Avram Iancu was born here, in the heart of Apuseni Mountains, in 1824. He went to school in Campeni, Abrud, Zlatna and Cluj, graduating the Faculty of Law in Cluj. Avram Iancu was one of the intellectuals' leaders who fought for social and national liberation of the Romanians in Transylvania. In the Avram Iancu Memorial Museum there could be found popular costumes and household objects, weapons, proclamations, documents related to the 1848 revolution and photos. The house is a typical shepherd construction being declared a monument of architecture.
