Cacica Saline

The Cacica saline is in the same name town in the Suceava county. It seems that here was one of the oldest mines in Europe of salt crystallized again from brine. There are many salt springs in the area even today. The entry in the mine is made on the steps of fir tree over 200 years old, mineralized with the brine that has penetrated the wood. The average temperature in the mine is about 15 Celsius degrees.
